It has been one week since Cyclone Nargis hit Myanmar. The figures reported to us increased day by day and described devastating situation there, and the current number of victims is said to be up to 100,000. The power of this cyclone was the strongest when it reached the Southwest seashore of Myanmar, and brought tremendous damage to cities like Laputta, Bogale, Pyanpon, and Dedaya, as it passed through and reached old capital Yangon.

KnK is planning to deploy aid effort in Myanmar, through educational support, as we have done in other countries. What we can do might be small. But it is very important act. We would definitely like to implement aid activities with Japanese supporter’s understanding and support.
